1964 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
PALMER, Tom 50, of Washington, D.C. passed away at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich on April 20th surrounded by his loving family after a heroic two-year battle with cancer. Tom was born in Boston on March 12, 1964. He is survived by his parents Bill and Dorothy Palmer of Cummaquid, his sister Linda Monaco and brothers Bill and Bob Palmer and spouses, nieces Stephanie and Victoria; nephews Dylan and Mikki, and partner, Bouchaib Hadine. Raised in Stoughton, he graduated from Xaverian Brothers H.S. in 1982. He earned his Bachelors Degree from George Washington University and his Masters from Trinity College. Fluent in German and Spanish, he spent a period of time working for Deutsche Bank in Germany. Upon his return, he settled in Washington, D.C. joining an International Trade Show organization affording him an opportunity to travel throughout the world. He then accepted a position with the American Association of Railroads, a job he held until the onset of his disease. Those who knew him will remember his outgoing personality and his talent for making and keeping friends. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Stoughton, 76 Pierce St., Stoughton, MA.
