Obituary Condolences

McAdam, Donald A. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a great husband, father, grand-father and friend Donald McAdam. Don was born May 25, 1931 in Newton. He was predeceased by his Father Alexander "Sandy McAdam his mother Florence McAdam and a brother John "Jack" McAdam. Don leaves behind one sister Mary "Tootsie" Gillis of Medfield, his wife of 59 years Theresa "Terry" (Clynes) McAdam, sons John (Jack) , Daniel and his wife Meg, daughter Linda and son Michael (Scott) and his wife Louise a, five grandchildren Derek, Kevin, Alex, Karina and Andrea as well as many cousins in Massachusetts and Nova Scotia Canada. Don was a life member of the American Legion Post 440 in Newton as well as a Past-Commander. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Watertown. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked for Sentry Insurance as well as retiring from the MA Port Authority. Don also worked for 50 years Part-Time for Boston College at the Rec-Plex. Visiting hours in the Andrew J. Magni & Son Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St, Rt. 16, Newton, Thursday from 4-8PM and again on Friday morning at 10AM, before proceeding to St. Patrick Church, 212 Main St, Watertown for a 11AM Funeral Mass. Burial with military honors in St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.
