Obituary Condolences

Sister Romula Cullen, CSJ in her 73rd year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Loving daughter of the late James and Mary (McGuire) Cullen and sister of the late James A. Cullen, Catherine A. O'Brien, Florence L. Cullen, Mary Cullen, Helen E. Hogan, William F. Cullen, Sister Serena Cullen, CSJ (Anna Jeanne), and Rose Marie McCarthy. Survived by her beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Formerly missioned as an elementary school teacher at St. Catherine School, Somerville; Gate of Heaven School, South Boston; St. Angela School, Mattapan; St. Pius School, Lynn; St. Thomas School, Jamaica Plain; Immaculate Conception School, Marlboro; and St. Benedict School, Somerville; and as a high school teacher at Keith Hall High School, Lowell; Our Lady Help of Christians High School, Newton; St. Mary High School, Brookline; Marian High School, Framingham. Sister Romula also served as Principal at Sacred Heart School, N. Quincy; as well as teacher and librarian at Jackson Elementary School, Newton. Visiting hours at Holy Spirit Chapel, Bethany Health Care Center, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham, Tuesday, June 17, 2014, 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Prayer Service at 10:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick, MA. Arrangements by Norton Funeral Home, FRAMINGHAM.
