KENNEDY, Lillian L. (Murray) Longtime resident of Milton, born in Dorchester on October 29, 1924, died June 12, 2014. You may know her from her long stint of serving pizza at the Villa Rosa, her short tv commercial career as a spokesperson for Kennedy Carpet Cleaners where she may have booked your appointment for a cleaning, or as the mom of one of her 8 children. They are as follows: Susan Kennedy and her partner Julie Hewitt of Takoma Park, MD; the late Mary OLeary and her husband Michael of Dennis, MA; Jay Kennedy and his wife Freda of Norwell, MA; Stephen Kennedy and his wife Deanna Haunsperger of Northfield, MN; Bruce Kennedy of Milton, MA; Deb Kennedy of Milton, MA; Joan Kennedy and her husband Stephen Dufresne of Falmouth, MA; and Karen Kennedy and her husband Dan Frandy of San Francisco, CA. Lil also was the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren: Erin, Sam, Maggie, Tyler, Kordell, Jack, Max, Ishi, Jianna and Delaine; and one great-granddaughter Riley. In addition, Lil is survived by her brother Robert Murray of Milton, MA; Jack Murray and his wife Mary of Yarmouth, MA; and sister-in-law Helen D. Murray of Yarmouth, MA. As one of eight children herself, she also has many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She loved to cook, dance, play cards, go to the beach and chat on the phone. She spent many winters in Florida often with her extended family. Wherever she lived she had an open door policy and truly enjoyed entertaining and feeding people. Lil was a devoted Catholic and a longtime member of St. Agathas Church. She will be remembered by her large extended family of relatives and friends for her generous spirit and her big heart. Donations may be made in her name to Alzheimers research or to St Judes Childrens Research Hospital. There will be a wake on Thursday June 19th from 4pm to 8pm at Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, on 326 Granite Ave., MILTON, and a Funeral Mass on Friday morning the 20th at 10:30am at St. Agathas Church in Milton. Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home Milton (617) 696-4200
