THERESA MARGARET (MCGONAGLE) RUSSELL Obituary
RUSSELL, Theresa Margaret (McGonagle) Age 84 of West Roxbury formerly of Jamaica Plain passed away at home surrounded by her family on June 16th. She was the youngest of 9 children born to Cecelia and James McGonagle both from Donegal, Ireland. The beloved wife of 60 years to Henry (B.P.D. ret.) and loving mother of daughter Margaret Russell Greene and husband Paul of Hingham, daughter Catherine Stabler of Ann Arbor, Michigan, son James and wife Colleen of Braintree, son Patrick and wife Stacy of Braintree, son Sean and wife AnnMarie of West Roxbury, daughter Theresa OBrien and husband Patrick of Milton and her late daughter Sheila Russell. She is the cherished Nana of Patrick, Noelle, Sean, Colleen, Taylor, Jeffrey, Maura, Ashley, Kelly, Sean, Michaela, Kaitlyn, Liam, Aidan, Jack, Henry, and Megan. Survived by her sister Anna Walsh of West Roxbury and brother Francis McGonagle of Jamaica Plain, predeceased by her sister Katherine Gaynor, brothers John, Edward, James, Joseph, and Daniel McGonagle all of Massachusetts. She had many nieces and nephews. She was most proud of being a mother and grandmother and spent all her time with family. A member of Holy Name Parish, she volunteered at school events. She loved her faith and family and was proud of her Irish heritage and would often frequent the Irish Social Club with her husband Henry where they would dance the evening away. She graduated from Burdett College and was employed in the Radiology Department at Faulkner Hospital. She had a fondness for animals, especially dogs. She will be always remembered with much love. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, Thursday, June 19th at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church at 10 oclock. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
