LYDON, Ann Theresa (Connolly) Born on January 1, 1919 in Rynn Carraroe, County Galway, Ireland passed away at her Dorchester home on June 15, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Stephen M. Lydon. Loving mother of Martin Lydon of Quincy, Ann Marie Doherty and her late husband Ed of Chatham, Maureen Lydon and her husband Robert Forrest of McLean, VA. Devoted grandmother of Jessica O'Brien and her husband James O'Brien of West Roxbury, Alexandra Lydon of Los Angeles, CA and Sean Forrest of McLean, VA. Loving great grandmother of Fiona O'Brien. Dear sister of the late Bridget Tobin, Michael Connolly, Patrick Connolly, Sean Connolly, Nora Faherty, Mary Dermody and Colm Connolly. Beloved daughter of Nora and Micilin Connolly, Rynn, Carraroe, Ireland who named their youngest daughter Aine Ni Chonghaile (the Gaelic spelling). Aine remembered her youth in Connemara fondly, including acting in an Abbey Theatre production in Dublin and playing the Irish sport of hurling while in school. Visiting hours in the John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd.) DORCHESTER, Thursday, June 26, 4 to 8pm. Funeral Mass in St. Brendan's Church Friday morning at 10:30. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
