ABRAMS, Audrey (Aron) Formerly of Randolph, MA, passed away on June 23, 2014 after a brief illness. Abrams, a larger-than-life presence both on and off the stage, was loved and admired by the Boston theatre community. Her theatrical career spanned more than six decades. Most recently, as a member of Ryan Landrys Gold Dust Orphans, she appeared in the 2009 production of Of Mice and Mink. Prior to that, she had a celebrated stage, film and television career in NYC and Boston and was best known for leading roles in Applause, Hello Dolly, Mame, and One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. She starred in her own prime-time series and in countless film roles. She leaves behind her son, Steven, of Chicago, and many friends and fans, and was preceded in death by her late husband of 45 years, Robert. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Actors Fund, 729 Seventh Avenue, 10th floor, NY, NY 10019 (https://donate.actorsfund.org/tribute ). The services will be private and a fabulous memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
