DUANE EVERETT PAULSEN Obituary
Paulsen, Duane Everett Of Tyngsborough, MA, passed away unexpectedly June 27, 2014, in Concord, MA, aged 77 years. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Cobb); loving father of Kendra Loveless; devoted grandfather of Wade and Mark; brother of Cynthia Paulsen, Sandra Paulsen, and Marsha Paulsen Peters. He was born May 4, 1937 in Fargo N.D. to Everett N. and Gudrun B. Paulsen. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master's Degrees in Chemistry from North Dakota State University, and a doctoral degree in Physical Chemistry at MIT. One of his greatest joys was singing with the MIT Choral Society under the direction of Klaus Liepmann, and singing with the group on a European concert tour in 1962. Mr. Paulsen was employed in research by Air Force Geophysics Laboratory at Hanscom Air Force Base for his entire career. Duane enjoyed taking part in local theater productions with Groton Theater, Theater III in West Acton, and Nashoba Theater, Westford. He enjoyed all major league sports, and was a staunch Democrat. He was a member of the council of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Nashua, NH, where he also sang in the choir. His life will be celebrated at a 10 AM memorial service at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Nashua, NH, on Saturday, July 5th.
