Banks, Phyllis (Colino) 85, Passed away of natural causes on July 7, 2014. Phyllis was born the oldest of 5 children to Mary and Donato Colino on July 17, 1928. She was born and raised in Newton. She graduated from Newton High School and worked in the Garden City until she retired. Phyllis was a gifted administrative secretary and those who employed her were blessed to have her. Phyllis enjoyed summers at the family's cottage in Dudley. She loved spending time with her family, playing cards, going on cruises, and playing Bingo. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Richard Banks and her sister, Joanne Hall. She is survived by her sons, Ken Banks and wife Cindy and Doug Banks; 5 grandchildren; and siblings Anita Mandra, Danny Colino, and Diane Devine. Special thanks to Golden Living Nursing Home for their care and kindness to Phyllis. Also special thanks to Monica Berlin (former daughter-in-law) for her loving kindness and help throughout the years. Visiting hours in the Magni FH, 365 Watertown St, NEWTON, Tues from 8:30-10AM, before proceeding to Our Lady's Church, 573 Washington St, Newton for a 10:30AM Funeral Mass.
