LEO D. MCKILLOP Sr. Obituary
McKillop, Leo D. Sr. 88, of Hollis, NH and formerly of Massachusetts died Friday August 1, 2014 at Langdon Place of Nashua, NH. Born April 3, 1926 in Boston, MA he was the son of the late Alexander Leo and Margaret Isabel (MacEacheran) McKillop and husband of Therese Marie (Langelier) McKillop, of Hollis, NH whom he married on June 25, 1955. Leo valued education and spent his career as a teacher and administrator in the Quincy, MA public school system. He was graduated from St. Mary's Boy High in Lynn, MA and attended Boston College where he received both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree. He served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of WW2 and the Korean War. He was a communicant of the Parish of the Resurrection and former communicant of St. Pius Church in Lynn, MA as well as St. Anne's Parish in Quincy, MA. Leo was devoted to his family and church. He enjoyed playing Whist up at Lake Winnipesaukee. Leo loved animals, but especially dogs. He will be deeply missed by his special friend Pete. In addition to his loving wife of 59 years, survivors include four sons and two daughter-in-laws, Leo D. McKillop II, of Tokyo, Japan, Gerard McKillop and his wife Kelly, of Boxborough, MA, Thomas McKillop and his wife Holly, of Nashua, NH and John McKillop, of Merrimack, NH. He leaves nine grandchildren, Leo Daniel McKillop III, Stephen McKillop, Michael McKillop, Alexandra McKillop, Heather Lewsey, Thomas McKillop JR., Alexander McKillop, Kevin McKillop and Daniel McKillop. Services: Visiting hours will be held Monday from 5:00–8:00 PM at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua, NH 03064. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad St., Nashua, NH 03063. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may meet at the church. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leo's loving memory to Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad St., Nashua, NH 03063 or Missionary Rosebushes of St. Therese of Manchester, 700 Bridge St., Manchester, NH 03104-5447.
