Guthrie, Catherine (Meskell) Of Winchester, August 1, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Best known as Cappie & lovingly as Nana Beach (Hampton). Beloved wife of 61 years of Andrew D Guthrie, Jr., MD. Devoted mother of Denise (John) Dawley of Winchester, Andrew D . Guthrie III (Karen) of Andover, Aideen (Thomas) Hunt of Lynn, Ellen Guthrie MD of Winchester, David (Ursula) Guthrie of No Andover, Suzanne (Dennis) Paradis of Strafford, NH and Ted (Debbie) Guthrie of Winchester. Dear daughter of the late Bartholomew and Marguerite (Mullen) Meskell. Beloved sister of Reverend David B Meskell. Loving grandmother of John, Patrick & Michael Dawley, Michelle Guthrie, Thomas, Brenna & Julianne Hunt, Shannon & Kyle DuBois, Mikayla, Mackenzie & Nikolaus Guthrie, and Teddy, John & Maxine Guthrie. Cousin of Eleanor A. Meskell and sister-in-law of Agnes Guthrie & Norma Guthrie Goodhue. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., WINCHESTER on Tues., Aug. 5 at 11:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Eulalia's Church, 50 Ridge St, Winchester at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting Hours will be held in the funeral home on Mon. 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Catherine Meskell Guthrie, Class of 1953 may be made to Emmanuel College, 400 The Fenway, Boston, MA 02115.
