Obituary Condolences

Stapleton, A. Patricia (Daley) 82, of Berlin, CT, formerly of Boston, died early Sunday morning August 3, 2014 comforted and surrounded by her family during her illness. A social person who was a lover of FAMILY, children, chocolate, a perfect Manhattan, the Red Sox, traveling with her late husband, Bob and her Irish heritage; Pat has left her inspirational positive spirit for all to emulate. She was a friend and caregiver to all. Parish life was central to her life. She leaves many friends including her First Grade Friends, her High School group, CLUB, and many CT friends and groups. Her favorite career was being the Chief Telephone Operator at The Newington Children's Hospital. Pat was a beloved person of character, compassion, wit and strength. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Robert M. Stapleton in 2001. Her loss is deeply felt by her children in CT: son, Robert M. Stapleton and his wife Kathleen, Donna Bovee and her husband, Bart, Gael Stapleton, Anne Reilly and her husband Brian, and Patricia Stapleton; her grandchildren, who will always be her pride and joy: Matthew Reilly and Katie, Michael Reilly, Courtney Bovee of Brighton MA, and Kaitlyn Bovee. Pat's wonderful, fun friends leave endearing good times that are cherished. She leaves her ONLY sister, Carol Cohoon of Quincy and her brothers, Terry Daley (Linda) of Braintree, Frank Daley (Ellen) of Quincy, sister-in law- Ann Smith (Tom) of Braintree and deceased brothers Vincent, Charles "Buddy" and Kevin. Pat leaves behind Bob's sisters Agnes Stapleton, SND of Everett and Agnes Rath, sisters-in-law, Sachie and Josephine and predeceased by Bob's family, Jim, Johnny (Eleanor) , Barbara (Frank) , Theresa (Bob). Pat and Bob loved family gatherings and seeing all their beloved nieces and nephews and visiting and entertaining the Irish relatives. The family wishes to thank her good friend, Pat Gai, Dr. Frederick Pope, Dr. Spath, Dr. Gladys Kagoan, Dr. Robert McAllister, the staff at St. Francis and, most recently, the staff of N5 at The Hospital of Central CT - New Britain campus, for their professional and compassionate care. A special thanks to Pam Berry of A Shear Perfection, for always making Mom feel beautiful. Pat brought joy to every gathering. She loved and lived life to the fullest. Dad finally got his prayers answered for Mom to join him We ask you to join us in celebrating Pat's life and reunion with Dad at the funeral service and eulogy on Friday at 9:00 AM at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, then followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, at the Church of The Holy Spirit, Newington. Pat will be laid to rest with Bob in West Meadow Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newington Memorial.
