Ersilia CATALDO-MATARAZZO

Age 50, of Peabody, formerly of Everett, on December 19. Loving mother of Carmine and his wife Ashley, Amata, and Giuseppe Matarazzo of Peabody.
Ersilia was the cherished daughter of Elvira (DiPierro) and Giuseppe Cataldo of Everett; Sister of Maria Pagliuca and her husband Antonio of Peabody, Tricia Larocca and her husband Giuseppe of Everett, Adriana Carbo and husband Anthony of Stoneham, Gina Maniscalco and her husband Andrew of Wakefield, Erminia Buscaino and her husband Joseph of Wakefield, Giuseppina Cerasuolo and her husband Marc of Reading, Anthony Cataldo and his wife Silvia of Peabody
Ersilia was predeceased by her loving brother, Luigi, and her grandparents, Maria and Armino DiPerro, Luigi and Ersilia Cataldo. Ersilia leaves behind many grieving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and an entire community that is mourning the loss of a woman who always made them feel special.
Within Everett she served on the School Committee, Board of Registrar and was also on the Board of Assessors. She was Vice President of The Kiwanis Club and a devoted church member allowing her to share her love throughout the community through numerous charitable ventures and opportunities to volunteer. She was employed by both St. Anthony's Church of Everett and Metropolitan Credit Union.
Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main St., EVERETT, on Thursday, December 27, 10AM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church in Everett at 11AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday only 4-8PM. Complimentary valet parking Wednesday at Main Street Entrance. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ersilia's memory may be made to Ersilia Cataldo-Matarazzo Memorial Fund, to Everett Kiwanis, care of Everett Bank, PO Box 490186, Everett, MA 02149. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery Everett.
