FARRELL, Samuel Joseph Age 82 years passed Thursday May 21st at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital following a lengthy illness, he passed with his family at his bedside. He was the husband of 59 years of Dorothy M. (Fee) Farrell of Brockton. Born in Hooksett, New Hampshire he was the son of the late Samuel St. Pierre and Edna (Gordon) Farrell. Mr. Farrell was raised and educated in Boston and had been a resident of the city of Brockton for the past 48 years. He was the owner and operator of a publishing company in Boston for many years from which he retired. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during WWII and was stationed in the Philippines. Mr. Farrell was a 49 year member of the Baalis Sanford Masonic Lodge, Past Grand Monarch of the Grottoes of North America, Past Monarch of Shedad Grotto of Brockton, a member of Azab Grotto of Fall River, as well as a Past Dad Advisor of Brockton Assembly #20 I.O.R.G. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Robert C. Farrell and wife Elaine of Brockton, Linda J. Warnock and husband Donald of Lakeville, Sandra R. Sherman and husband George of North Easton and Mark J. Farrell and wife Donna of Canaan, NH, and five grandchildren, Sean Warnock, Todd Warnock, Kenneth Sherman, Amanda Farrell and Joseph Farrell. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th at 11:00 am in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., BROCKTON, MA. Cremation will follow the service and a private burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA will be held at a later date. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 pm with a Masonic Service at 7:00pm.
