Molly Elizabeth Large Eisenberg, 19, passed away on October 21, 2009 after a yearlong battle with ovarian cancer. Molly was born January 11, 1990 in Woodland Hills, CA. She lived in Simi Valley and Walnut Creek, CA and Lexington, Massachusetts. Molly graduated in 2008 from Lexington High School in Massachusetts where she was captain of the volleyball team and a Middlesex League All-Star her senior year. She also pursued student council and drama in high school. She attended Diamond Middle School in Lexington, MA where she played Marty of the Pink Ladies in the musical "Grease." She volunteered each summer in Lexplorations where she taught sports, art, and drama to elementary school children. Molly was a freshman at the University of Oregon briefly in fall 2008 when she was diagnosed with germ cell ovarian cancer. She returned to her family home in Walnut Creek, CA for treatment. Throughout it all, Molly faced cancer with dignity and had great spirit and humor which were always her trademarks. She is survived by her parents, Eric Eisenberg and Karen Large, and her sister, Jill. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church, 55 Eckley Lane, Walnut Creek, CA 94596. Molly had a love of wild animals and insisted on making pilgrimages to many zoos and aquariums throughout this year.
