As a senior counselor with Y2I, I spent three wonderful weeks with Max in Israel in 2008. Max was a terrific young man with an outgoing personality and a keen sense of humor. He was the shining star of bus 408. I will always have fond memories of him. I'm deeply saddened about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and whenever I think about that trip to Israel I'll always remember Max.

Dear Clayman Family,
With Shock and dismay I received the bad news about Max's death.
I got to know max very well on the year long program on Y2I and then traveling with him to Israel.
Max was a teen you could not ignore.
He had qualities which made him so unique. He was handsome, very funny smart and very kind. He was a true pure soul. He made all of us laugh.
Our Y2I 2008 was a special one thanks to Max and other kids like him.
Please accept our words of sympathy. Stay strong and G-D be with you.
We will miss him dearly.

Mike, Patti, Ben, Sam and Josh,
I thank you all for giving me the opportunity to get to know Max. I will miss him very much. I will miss seeing his smile. I will miss our conversations at the gym. I will miss making him laugh as I make him do "crazy" exercises. And, I will miss his insights on various topics - through the eyes of a teenager.

My heart is with you all during this difficult time. He will always be with you.

Mike, Patti, Josh, Ben and Sam,

We have enjoyed watching Max grow from child to teen. Max always took a moment for conversation in the driveway, or a wave and a smile as we passed in the car. Son John recounted a time when he saw Max in the grocery store. Max was very excited about his 'first' job at a movie theater ("Free popcorn for the family," he said). Max was very dedicated to you, Mike and Patti, as we observed him happily participate in many family activities. Max will always remain in our hearts.
