I just bought a book about his mother, "The Woman Who Smashed Codes" by Jason Fagone. I remember John working on a movie script about his parents. Looking in the index found pages with specific references to John, I have learned things I never knew for all the years we were very close friends. Makes me want him here now to talk with.

John was a wonderful man who helped me with the history of his parents. If there are any relatives who care to share their memories with us, please contact Col. Rose Mary Sheldon, Department of History, VMI.

John was like a big brother to me. He is truly someone who shared my joys and sorrows. He was my peer at Bell Labs and later my neighbor in North Plainfield. When he and Judy bought their home in Sanibel, John lived with me and my daughter until a desirable retirement date. Subsequently I enjoyed three wonderful visits at their home in Sanibel.
I just discovered his obituary and this memorial guest book today. I wondered why I had not received the family news letter in December or a reply to my news I sent him. I'm so glad to learn he died at peace.

My hearts breaks for you mom - John was a magnificent man - so full of life. You both brightened any room you walked into. I will miss our conversations about the Arts and golf and will cherish my memories. You had an incredible relationship. Forever in my heart.

John was our great friend. We enjoyed many hours of tennis and golf together. All of his friends at the East Naples Community Park Tennis Association will miss him.
