Loreto J. Stracqualursi Obituary
STRACQUALURSI, Loreto J. "Larry" Age 80, of Westport, died Saturday, December 4, 2010 at his residence unexpectedly. He was the husband of Geraldine "Gerri" (Fella) Stracqualursi. Born in Boston, a son of the late Luigi and Urbina (Lombardi) Stracqualursi, he lived in Strafford, Virginia for many years before returning back to Massachusetts. He retired as Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force after 20 years of active duty. He was Master Sergeant radio operation superintendent at Rhein Main Air Force Base, Germany. He began his career as a federal employee as program manager in the intelligence community before retiring in 1993. He was a member of the F.O.C. International, first class morse code radio association and liked to bowl. Surviving in addition to his wife, one step-daughter, Briana Motley and her husband Terry of Canton, MI, three sisters, Rochetta (Tobin) O'Brien of Walpole, Anne Haraldson O'Neil of Wrentham and Carol Pitts of Norton, two step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was father of the late Larry Stracqualursi Jr. and was brother of the late Eugene Stracqualursi and Mary Carnavale. Family will receive friends in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, Friday, December 10, 2010 from 9:00 to 11:00AM prior to his Funeral Service at 11:00AM in the Funeral Home.
