Obituary Condolences

KING, John A. 75, of Naples, FL and Natick, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 7, 2011 in Naples, Fl. He was born on December 16, 1935 in Flushing, NY, the beloved son of the late Catherine and John King. He leaves his loving wife of 47 years, Ellen; his children Katie Bramley, John King and Tim King; his sisters Jane King, Catherine Ann Timoney, the late Patricia Fitzgerald and the late Clare Scanlon; grandchildren Niki Bramley, Jackson Bramley, Ben Bramley, Will Bramley, Jake King, Max King, Ellis King, Sean King, Tommy King and Katie King. John served in the armed forces in the 82nd Airborne Division. He has been a long time member of Woodland Golf Club in Auburndale, MA and Stonebridge Country Club of Naples, Fl. He was a faithful parishioner both at St. John's the Evangelist in Wellesley, MA and Naples, FL. John's love of life was evident to all that knew him. His remarkable optimism was an inspiration to all. His most cherished times were when he was surrounded by his ten grandchildren, family, and friends. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 9th at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave, N. Naples, FL from 4-7pm. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 10th at 3pm, St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave N. , Naples, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to John's favorite charity; Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity, 401 Quincy Street, Dorchester, MA 02125.
