Obituary Condolences

LENNICK, Gerald Stanley 77, passed away on February 2, 2011, at his home on Hilton Head Island, SC. Mr. Lennick was born in Malden, MA, on June 22, 1933, the son of the late Louis and Frances Riseberg Lennick. He graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA, and served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his beloved wife Susan; three children, Rabbi Dr. Robert B. Lennick and his wife Heidi of Allentown, PA, Lauren Lennick of Framingham, MA, and Allison Lennick of Los Angeles, CA; three step-children, Jeffrey and Doreen Fortunato and Scott and Pamela Fortunato of Staten Island, NY, and Karin and Rodolfo Tucci of Old Bridge, NJ; nine grandchildren, Sarah Lennick, Alexandra and Nicholas Tucci, Dana and Erik Fortunato, and Gregory, Taylor, Cody and Austin Fortunato. Jerry had a long and distinguished career working as an administrator for arts related organizations and in the health care sector. He was a director for WBZ-TV's Rex Trailer Show in Boston and the fund developer for the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Connecticut. He was director of development for the American Shakespeare Theatre's Broadway production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He was a pioneer administrator in the early days of the Massachusetts Association for Retarded Citizens and the National Kidney Foundation and later was president of a number of health care organizations, including Director of Development for Staten Island Hospital and CEO of the Mental Health Association of Beaufort and Jasper counties in South Carolina.
