I walk down the hall, Derrick is not there. I walk by his cubicle, Derrick is not there. I go to a meeting, Derrick is not there. There is such a sense of emptiness at ZOLL with Derrick gone. Such a nice, nice, fun guy to work with. My thoughts and prayers are with Derrick's family at this sad time..........'til we all meet again in the resurrection.

I am so sad to hear of Derrick's passing. I learned of his passing moments ago while attempting to reach my ‘go-to-guy'. I met Derrick during the transition of our business to ZOLL. I admired his leadership and drive to get things done. This was accompanied by his wonderful sense of humor, welcoming personality and his way of taking down the boiling point of difficult situations. He was a great man and will be missed. I wish to extend my sincerest condolences to Derrick's wife, children and the Click family. May the wonderful memories of Derrick bring you comfort during this time of sorrow. God Bless.

My condolences to all of Derrick's family, he will be missed. I have worked with Derrick for many years at ZOLL, he had a calming manner about him that will be missed. I am very sad to hear about Derrick's passing. I met Derrick at the Ride for Heart in Toronto and got to know him working together at ZOLL Medical. He was an approachable, engaging, and warm person -- a unique guy and always a pleasure. I didn't know Derrick for long, but I will miss him. Rest in Peace, Derrick, and warmest condolences to you, Maureen.

I first met Derrick at a training ride I was hosting for the Tour de Cure- I remember my first impression; A friendly smile, a hearty, easy laugh, a great sense of humor, and a great attitude. He was someone that was easy to talk to and fun to joke with- Someone who I was very much looking forward to seeing again this summer. I was shocked when I heard the news late last night- I had no idea- Never would have imagined that someone so vibrant and full of life could leave so suddenly. My thoughts and condolences are with the entire family, and those who were fortunate enough to have known him in the short time he was able to share with us.
I'll miss seeing you this summer my friend, keep the wind at your back and the down-hills in front of you.

Derrick is the true hero behind the scene for ZOLL international sales team and ZOLL's global business partners in many years although many international people do not know his name. Whenever an urgent request came from international requesting for manufacturer's testing reports for devices that shipped to international either recentlt or couple years ago, we can count on Derrick and his team's to get all reports in a very short period of time alghouth this type of requests are not part of his job responsibilities. Derrick has a great passion to help people within or outside his team, as long as it's good for ZOLL and the customer, he's always strongly support us. A great team support to international at all times and tath's the Derrick I've been so lucky to work with for so many years. Like Liz said, he always have a smile on his face when we met him either at the coffee corner or on the hall way. Derrick will surely be missed for a lifetime by everyone who's the luck to have been working with him in the golden time....we miss you!

Derrick was a great chief. I got in a lot of trouble on CG55 but he always protected me. Of all the people I remember from that tour, he is the man I will always remember and respect. I wish you fair winds and following seas Derrick. You will me missed.

I was a Young 17 year old kid that joined the navy and came aboard the U.S.S. Voge FF-1047 During Derricks 2nd tour. He was a Father and Ship mate to this Kid, Derrick Helped him get into trouble as well as get out of trouble! He later reached out to me recently over facebook and we talked about the good times we had and other crew members. Iwas going through some hard times of my own and Derrick once again offered me support once again. We had hoped we would meet up again at the Voge reunion. I will always Remember The Father and Brother Figure he was to me! I will see you Again Brother! My condolences to the family that Loved Him a lot, as He always took care of Family! I also had the pleasure of working with Derrick at ZOLL. He was always upbeat and had sharp sense of humor. I never did get to ride with him but it was nice to talk bikes and riding from time to time.
