Obituary Condolences

WILLIAMS, George Of Norton passed away peacefully at his home on May 3, 2012. He was 67. He was born in Brookline, grew up in the town and worked for the Brookline Fire Dept for 38 years. He moved to Norton in 1974 where he and his wife Helen raised their 2 daughters Rachel and Pamela. Aside from his wife and daughters he is survived by a sister Mary Kierstead, West Roxbury. Beloved grandfather to Matthew Jacobs and Jake Troiano, both of whom brought a tremendous amount of joy to his life. George will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He loved reading newspapers, doing puzzles and checking out the travel section. Planning trips and looking for good deals were as pleasurable to George as the actual journey. His character was unique, his willpower unmatched and his honesty will be forever remembered by all who knew him. George was a member of Brookline Firefighters Local 950 I.A.F.F., American Legion Post #327, Boston Lodge of Elks #10 and The Beachmont Yacht Club. There will be a celebration of George's life on Friday May 11th from 7-11 p.m. @ The Elks Lodge, 1 Morrill Street, West Roxbury.
