FRANCIS DUFFY Obituary

DUFFY, Francis G., Jr. (Frank) Of Chatham, died unexpectedly on July 29, 2012. Born on April 1, 1932 in Staten Island, NY. He lived in Newton from 1969 to 1994. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Marge Boyle Duffy. He was a veteran of the Air Force and served in the Korean War, where he was a staff sergeant in the 6910th security service. Retired manager from Digital Equipment Corporation. He was an avid hiker who loved the outdoors, travel, photography, history, education and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Chatham Historical Society, Chatham Council On Aging and Friends of the Eldredge Public Library. Survived by his siblings Richard Duffy and Joan Klug, predeceased by his siblings Claire Van Cott, and Paul Duffy. Loving father of Maryellen Ward of Southborough, MA, Kathy Wallace and husband Richard of Henniker, NH, sons Frank and wife Judy of Natick, MA, Brian of Needham, MA and Michael of Portland, OR. Also survived by his grandchildren Devon Ward, Olivia and Ian Duffy, Colleen Wallace, Kevin, Glen and Cate Duffy. Also survived by many loving neices and nephews. A Mass will be celebrated for Frank on Tuesday August 7th at 11am at Holy Redeemer Church, 57 Highland Ave., Chatham, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Labre Indian School P.O.
