I was saddened to learn of Jean's passing. I met her during retreats at St. Joseph's in Cohasset. Last May she met me at the train station and drove back to the center by the scenic route, which of course, began the retreat on the right note. My prayer is with her family at this time of sorrow.

You have forever changed me as a person, Jean. You taught me so much for which I will be eternally grateful. You were the most beautiful friend to me in the short two years we had together sharing our office at the Retreat Center. I miss you more than anything. My deepest sympathies to David, Isabel, Fiona and John as well as to your mother and sisters. Thank you for the time we had, it was very well spent and I am forever grateful. You will forever be a part of me and I will always carry you in my heart. Rest in peace my dear best friend and may God bring your family peace at this time.

May all your wonderful memories of Jean provide comfort to you at this time of terrible loss. Jeannie was the second person at Brown I met . She lived next door to me in my freshman dorm West Quad. She was my roommate for part of sophomore year. I was drawn in by her intelligence, wit, strong and determined outlook, sense of humor and joy for life, dance and music. She was a great friend through all these years. I am inspired by how she chose to continue having fun and seeking happiness throughout her illness and when facing death. We will miss her so. I am sending big hugs to David, Fiona, Isabel, and John.

During my last conversation with Jean at St. Joseph's Retreat Center last December she spoke of how she was focused on living in the present moment and how much she was enjoying the holidays with her family. I send along my condolences too all whose lives she touched and in a special way to her family.

My heart breaks for your family's loss. I came to know Jean through our work for the Town of Scituate. Each time I saw her she was always smiling. Her face would light up when she spoke of her family. She was so positive and upbeat. She will be missed by all of us at Town Hall. May she rest in peace.

My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family in your devastating and huge loss. I will always remember Jean with the effervescent smile and personality, a bubbly and infectious laugh, and as a loving, caring, and multi-talented team member. She had taught me so much within the short period I've known her which I am eternally grateful for. Her joyful spirit lives on forever within us at the Retreat Center.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have been driving your children to school for years and Jean would always be at the bus stop with a big smile and a wave for me. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
