ANN MARIE (LYNCH) MATARESE Obituary
MATARESE,AnnMarie (Lynch) 66, of Bradford, formerly of Winchester, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 unexpectedly at her home. Born in Everett, the youngest of twelve, she was the daughter of the late, Joseph and Elizabeth (Kelly) Lynch. She was a graduate of St. Rose High School in Chelsea and received her Bachelors Degree in History from Salem State College. Mrs. Matarese began her career as a teacher's aid, but having a lifelong passion for politics, she managed campaigns for the late Massachusetts State Senator Charles E. Shannon Jr. Relocating from Winchester to the Bradford section of Haverhill in 1998, she was a member of Sacred Heart Church for fourteen years. Along with her husband, John, she enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises. An avid reader, she would relax with a good book or write poetry. The most cherished time to her was the time spent with her family and her lovely granddaughters.She leaves her beloved husband of forty-three years, John L. Matarese, a son, John S. Matarese and his wife, Julie, of Medford; a daughter, Maura A. Matarese, of Acton; two granddaughters, Emily Rose and Megan Marie Matarese; a brother, James Lynch and his wife Eileen, of Baltimore, MD; three sisters, Mary Curry, of Norfolk, VA, Margaret Blake and her husband Lawrence, of Bradenton, FL; Louise Drucker and her husband Milton, of Arlington, VA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers; Edward, Philip, George, Richard, Lawrence, and Leonard Lynch, and a sister; Anita Barbato. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call on Tuesday, from 5 until 8:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) HAVERHILL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, South Main St. Bradford. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Palmer St. Winchester.
