Though I never met Dr. Friedman, I enjoyed hearing Lena's many stories of him, especially his wit and self-determination. I'm sorry your family has had another loss so soon after Lena's death. My sympathies to all.

Edward was my loyal friend and painting colleague for nearly 20 years. I will miss his wit, friendship and artful eye. So many good memories to be thankful for.

As the daughter of the late Edward D. Frank, MD, I have known Dr. Friedman my entire life. As a friend, as a physician, as an artist. He was a kind and gentle man; full of life and passion for many things from old cars to the wings of a butterfly, to the human body and mind. My thoughts and prayers go out to his children and grandchildren. Godspeed E-Fried

I worked with Dr. Friedman at the Beth Israel Hospital in 1965-1966. He was the kindest and the most gentle man I have ever had the pleasure of working with. My deepest sympathy to his children and grandchildren.
