SUZANNE STORMS JOHNSON Obituary
JOHNSON, Suzanne Storms 85, of Hawthorne Village, Franklin, died surrounded by her loving family on April 19, 2013 at the Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island in Providence. She was the beloved widow of Arthur Ray Johnson to whom she married in 1949. Born in Syracuse, New York, on January 27, 1928, she was a dear daughter of Clayton B. and Dorothy (Huber) Storms. She was a former longtime resident of Ridgefield, CT. She was a graduate of Rye High School in Rye, NY and of Skidmore College in the class of 1949. She was a Social Worker and had worked as a school counselor at Notre Dame Academy, and at St. Mary's School, both in Ridgefield. An avid golfer, she had also loved to play bridge. She was the three time women's champion at the Salem Golf Club in North Salem, NY. Extremely affable, she possessed a large and close circle of friends. She is survived by her loving children, Sherilyn J. and her husband Robert McLaughlin of Bel Air, MD, William P. and his wife Anne Johnson of New Boston, NH, Peter S. and his wife Jan Johnson of Norfolk, and Jennifer J. Wilson and her husband Scott of Bel Air, MD. She was the devoted grandmother of eight grandchildren, and of five great grandchildren. A Celebration of her Life, will be held on Friday, April 26, at 10 AM, at the Franklin Country Club, 672 East Central Street, Franklin, MA. Arrangements are in the care of Richard Ross and the RJ Ross Funeral Home, WRENTHAM CENTRE. Donations in her memory may be made to Milford Hospital or Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island.
