Obituary Condolences

CUNNINGHAM,HughG. "Scotty" Of Weymouth, formerly of Braintree age 86, entered into eternal life on May 2, 2013. Scotty was born and raised in Airdrie, Scotland and has lived in Weymouth for many years. Mr. Cunningham was a retired Building Specialist for the New England Telephone Company and worked in Boston . He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and belonged to the Bishop Chevrus Fourth Degree Assembly and the Back Bay Council 331. He was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and belonged to the I.B.E.W. Local 2222. Hugh was a devoted communicant of Saint Albert the Great Church and was passionate about many charitable causes, including Missionaries of the Poor and the Holy Land Foundation. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 Years, Ann (Hamill) Cunningham. Beloved brother of Daniel Cunningham, Rena Egan, and Elizabeth Burton, all of Scotland, and the late Margaret Hamill, Mary Hanlon, Nancy Hamilton and Agnes Cunningham. He will be sadly missed by his many loving nieces and nephews and his many friends. Beloved brother-in- law of the late Helen Mallett, Thomas, John, Hugh, Robert and Andrew Hamill. Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home 100 Washington St Weymouth Landing on Tuesday, May 7 at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, East Weymouth at 10 am.
