Obituary Condolences

GOSSELIN, James Patrick 62, of Hopkinton formerly of Melrose passed away Monday, May 7th at his home surrounded by family. He was the husband of Patricia (Heaney) Gosselin for 37 years. Jim served his country honorably with the 82 Engineering Battalion stationed in Bamberg, Germany during the Vietnam War. Jim worked for 30 years with the US Treasury Dept. and later the US Dept. of Homeland Security as an Auditor retiring in 2007. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children; Martin Gosselin and his wife Jill of Rehoboth; Gregory Gosselin of Clinton; and Colin Gosselin of Milford; one granddaughter; Abigail; one brother; Joseph V. Gosselin, Jr. and his wife Diane of South Hadley. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 10th at 11:00am in St. John the Evangelist Parish, 20 Church St. in Hopkinton with burial to follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Hopkinton. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St. in WESTBOROUGH. In lieu of flowers gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of James to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute - Milford, 20 Prospect St., Milford, MA 01757 or Salmon VNA & Hospice, 37 Birch St., Milford, MA 01757
