SPENCER, William T. Age 98, Quincy Police Department, Retired, of Quincy, formerly of Braintree and Malden, died peacefully Monday, May 20, 2013 at the William B. Rice Eventide Home in Quincy. He was born, raised and educated in Malden. Bill was a Quincy police officer for fourteen years and was also the supervisor of attendance for the Quincy Public School Department for twenty years, retiring in 1977. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Beloved husband of the late Constance L. "Connie" (Johnson) Spencer. Devoted father of William T. "Ted" Spencer and his wife Patricia of Cooperstown, NY, Kevin P. Spencer and his wife Sheila of Summerfield, FL, Sallee E. Emond and her husband Edward of Brockton, and Christopher C. Spencer of Quincy. Loving Poppy of Jennifer, Matthew, Lucas, Stacey, Christopher, and Michelle. Cherished great Poppy of Liam, Aidan, Braeden, Stella, Spencer, Declan, Hayden, Adeline and Amelia. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., QUINCY, Saturday, May 25th at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Thomas More Church, corner of Hawthorne Road and Elm Street, Braintree at 9 o'clock. Relatives & friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours at the funeral home, Friday 4-7 p.m. Interment Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to Archbishop Williams High School, 80 Independence Avenue, Braintree, MA 02184 or to the William B.
