RINES, Frank J. "Bud" Jr. 93, of Adams Shore, Quincy, formerly of West Roxbury. Entered into Eternal Life, June 10, 2013 at his seaside home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Bernardine Travers. He is survived by his children Joe Rines of North Weymouth, Margaret Rines Lennon of Quincy, Richard Rines and his wife Deborah Faenza of Quincy, Thomas Rines and his wife Jeanne Fallon of East Sandwich, and Bernardine T. Rines of Quincy. Father-in-law of Paul F. Ledbetter. Devoted grandfather of Peg Lennon of Abington, Paul Ledbetter Jr., Paul Lennon Jr., Danielle and Richard Rines Jr. of Quincy. Cherished great-grandfather of Timothy Lennon, Devan Marie and Michael Killilea Jr., all of North Quincy. Survived by his sister Frances and her husband Colonel Hardy Hay of La Jolla, CA, and sister Beth and her husband Brian Winmill of Wrentham. Brother of the late Miriam Daley and Margaret M. Rines. Graduated from the U.S. Maritime Service Gallops Island Radio Training School and served as a Chief Radio Officer in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He was born in Reading, PA to Frank and Margaret (Gill). Retired Member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Union Local 4, Partner in Rines Real Estate and founder of Johnson Oil Company, Eastern Pollution Control and Bud's Service. Lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. Member of Quincy Lodge of Elks #943, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, Massachusetts Lobstermen's Association and the Boston Police Emerald Society. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 17 at 9:00 AM in Holy Trinity Parish - Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 237 Sea St., Quincy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. At the family's request, interment will be private. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Compassionate Care Hospice Veterans Outreach Program, 800 West Cummings Park, Suite 3400, Woburn, MA 01801.
