Granese, Anthony J. "Tony"
Age 92, of W. Ossipee, NH, died Thursday, July 4 after a brief illness. He was the husband of Marian (Hannon) Granese with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Nicola and Carmella (Faia) Granese. He lived in Swampscott and Danvers prior to moving to W. Ossippee in 1994. The Granese's have also spent winters in Orlando, Florida since 1986. Mr. Granese served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was the owner of N. Granese and Sons General Contractors with his late brother John for 30 years. He was also a partner in the Hannah Village Apartments in Beverly. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Granese of Tewksbury, Laurie Walton and her husband Sean of W. Ossipee, Richard Granese and his wife Donna of Newburyport, and Sherren Granese and her husband Jack Henebury of Newton, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was brother of the late John Granese and Phyllis Fraher. Funeral will be held from the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St. (Rt. 1A) LYNN, on Wednesday at 10:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Family Church, Lynn at 11:15 AM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Directions and guestbook at www.solimine.com.
