1923 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
LEVERONE, Eugene A. Jr. 90, of York ME, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at home with his family by his side. He was born Jan. 26, 1923 in Framingham, MA, son of the late Eugene A. and Mary (Pazzeti) Leverone Sr. Eugene was a graduate of College of the Holy Cross, class of 1948 and was appointed as a member to the Holy Cross Order of the Purple Knights. During World War II he served in the US Navy, as an officer and PBY pilot in the South Pacific. For more than 35 years he worked for Container Corporation of America, as a sales executive. Upon retirement Eugene was a film and television actor, model and member of the Screen Actors Guild. During his final years in York, he enjoyed working at the York Golf and Tennis Club, salt water fly fishing and spending time with friends in the York community. Bear Hill Country Club in Stoneham Mass. granted him an honorary membership in recognition of his many years as an active member. Eugene is survived by his wife, Bertha R. (Latakas) Leverone; 3 sons, Robert E. Leverone and his wife Ellyn of New York City; Richard J. Leverone and his wife Lee-Anne of York, ME and David Leverone and his wife Blair of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Christine Leverone Orrall and her husband, Robert Ellis Orrall of Nashville, TN; a sister, Mary Termotto, of Rochester, NY; 5 grandchildren, Adam E. Leverone, Tessa L. Leverone, Jake L. Orrall, Jamin W. Orrall, and Justine L. Orrall. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. in St. Christophers Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, ME. There are no calling hours.
