1921 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Crapsey, Marcus Trowbridge Of Boston, formerly of Manhattan, died on December 20th, 2013, at home. He was born in 1921 in Rochester, NY, the son of Arthur Hunt & Ferne Hincher Crapsey. He married Rosemary Gourley in 1946. Following US army service in WWII Marcus completed Bachelor's and Master's degrees in mathematical statistics at the University of Michigan. In 1950 he joined the statistical office of the United Nations Secretariat where he worked in Thailand and Latin America providing technical assistance with census and economic reporting standards. In 1960 Marc joined IBM's data processing division and later IBM World Trade where he spent four years working in Paris. Marc's survivors include his beloved partner, Gay Bailey, son, Marcus II (Linda), daughters, Ana Maria (Timothy Smith) and Malinee; Gay's son, Glyn Polson (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Peter (Stephanie) and Amy (Joel Sabatino) Crapsey; Nicholas (Carolina), Alison and Malinee Smith; Ayla, Eliza, and Kate Polson. He leaves great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends around the world.
