Missing you, Chris. We need to talk about the state of this country's affairs, the Red Sox, and John Oliver whom you would have thoroughly enjoyed!

I remember I was his legal secretary for a short time at Hale and Dorr in early 1991. I remember him being so laid back, quiet and a very nice man with lots of great compliments in my work review.I would have chosen him to work for any time!

I had the good fortune of knowing Chris for almost 30 years. He was an exceptional lawyer, highly skilled and very diligent. But what I will remember most is that, as talented as he was as in his professional life, Chris was an even better person and a constant friend. He was thoughtful and wise, and remarkably generous with his time and insights. Chris was also a caring person with a great sense of humor. (In my experience, no Monty Python or Marx Brothers reference was too obscure, or New York Yankees anecdote too trivial, for him to thoroughly enjoy it. And he may have been even more passionate about U.S. politics.) I feel incredibly fortunate that he was my friend and will always miss him. My thoughts and sympathies are with his family and those who were close to him; we have all lost a very good man much too soon.

I remember Chris well from Law School as we were friends during our time there. He was always an even-tempered, friendly, warm fellow with an excellent sense of humor and had a good perspective on our law studies and our experience there in general. Unfortunately we did lose touch as my path was to Philadelphia and then NYC. Rest In Peace, Chris. You were a kind and gentle soul. Tom Isenberg, HLS '82.

I remember Chris when he lived in Lyndonville, NY. I was 6; he was 7. He kept me from getting beaten up by a couple of thugs as we walked to his house. I wanted to confront the punks, but Chris said "keep your head down, and follow me." I have never forgotten that moment, even these 50 yrs later. I knew that Chris was special even then, as was his sister Winnie. My condolences to you all at this very sad time.Norm Woodworth, Elba, NY

Chris will live in my heart forever as a true friend as well as a guiding and generous soul. We shared many good times both at Hale & Dorr and during our years in private practice. I was blessed to have Chris in my life. My sympathies to Susan, Nick and Elizabeth--for whom he would always share his pride and love with me. May he be at peace listening to the timeless orchestral symphonies he so enjoyed.
