CONNOLLY, Christine F. Of Hyde Park, passed away peacefully on February 15th, after a long battle with breast cancer. Beloved daughter of the late Lucy (Trombetta) & Francis (Bud) Connolly. Devoted sister of Michele Connolly & her husband Paul Edwards of Hyde Park. She also leaves dear cousins in the Boston area and close friends in Dublin, Ireland. Funeral Mass at Most Precious Blood Church, Hyde Park, Thurs. at 11 AM. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., MILTON, Wed. 4 to 8 PM. Ms. Connolly attended Hyde Park High School and was a graduate of Aquinas College, Emerson College, and earned a Master of Art in Teaching from Simmons College. After working for the federal government, state of Massachusetts, and Emerson College, Ms. Connolly pursued her lifelong dream of teaching school. Realizing that dream, Ms. Connolly taught at the Sacred Heart School in Roslindale for ten years prior to her retirement. A devoted educator, Ms. Connolly dearly loved her students and her colleagues and has left a positive impact on a generation of students. Always devoted to her family, as a young woman, Ms. Connolly often took her younger sister Michele on vacations to the Cape, to meet family in Ireland and Italy, sharing her love of nature and joy for living. Since the onset of her illness seven years ago, Ms. Connolly sought ways of giving of herself and of her talents. Including; working as a volunteer at the New England Baptist Hospital, donating books to the Boston Public Library, and giving to various charities. Ms. Connolly will be dearly missed by her family and friends. www.alfreddthomas.com. Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home Milton (617) 696-4200
