Frank will be sorely missed by all those who were lucky enough to have him as their golf instructor. He suffered through their constant poor performance with great patience and good humor. Every hour was more than just a lesson as he recounted the history of those he came in contact with at Putterham. He also spoke lovingly about Gale, Starr, Colby and Chloe all the time.

I was fortunate enough to consider Frank a friend. We worked briefly together at Putterham golf course. Frank remembered playing with my grandfather in the 50's and 60's, and generations later played a few rounds with me this past summer.

Frank - you'll be missed but not forgotten.

My condolences to the family. I knew Frank well in the 80s and would see him on occasion over the years. He taught my son - now 36! - how to play. He once told me, "The best thing about your golf game is your shoes!" Still is. Rest in peace, Frank.

I lived down the street from the Milbury family in Brookline. I will always remember Frank, and when he got into golf. Whenever I went to play at Putterham, he would always be out on the putting green, instructing the kids. He will always be a part of the golf course family. RIP

Frank-

In the movie "The Last Samurai" a young emperor asked an American Calvary officer "How did he die?".

The officer responded as the man's
friend "Let me tell you how he lived!".

Frank taught me business folk work well but don't know how to play or live well. Of course he was spot-on
and I listened to his pearls of wisdom ever since. Younger brothers of different life experiences can teach very well. He was a master at instructing others to live,
love, and to laugh with all those who mattered- family, friends and acquaitances of substance.

He did not suffer fools well as he had no time to spare.

Long will he be remembered for his smile, quick wit and desire to keep all things in perspective.
He loved W.C. Fields and Rodney Dangerfield yet truly loved animals,
Children and pure of heart.

Frank- Long will you be remembered
and always with that warm smile &
Wry humor. You will be truly treasured in all of our hearts.

Frankie,

I had the privilege of growing up with you. We shared memories, stories, three-stooges, Mike Meyer's movies, brotherly drama, and love.

I will miss you deeply and will never forget what you have taught and shared with me.

Looking forward to the day I see you again my dear brother.

God Bless you forever!

With a broken-heart – Brother Robert.

"Did you ever know that you're my hero" That's how I felt about Frankie Milbury as I called him. I worked with Frank for 7 years at the Putterham Golf Course. I knew of Franks health problems but I never once heard him complain. People would ask Frankie "How are you" Frank would say Great never better or words to that affect. Many times I would see Frank come into work with bandages and bruises from what he had gone through at the doctors office, then go out and work a 14 hour day. I am a parent of 4 children and I tend to judge a man by the type of dad that he is. Frank would often come to work with his 3 children Starr, Chloe, and Colby they adored him and they were his world. Frank would constantly talk of how proud he was of his kids and the honors that they had received at school. Gale I have not forgotten you no matter what went on in any given day Frank would always say as he went home for the night I know I drive her crazy but she still lets me in when I get home I am a lucky man. When people would say to Frank " Its good to see you" Frankie would always reply "Its good to be seen". I am a much richer man for having seen , gotten to know a man I will always and proudly call my friend, Frank Milbury. You have touched many lives along the way in your journey. Thank-you for touching mine. We will meet again some day, Billy Waldo Jr.

My heart goes out to Frank's family and extended family. Most of my memories are from a long, long time ago when we were kids but they are topped off with later in life connections through the Putterham golf course. Everyone always had good words for Frank.

To all my Brookline Milbury cousins, we wish you strength during this tough time.

Tom & Robyn Milbury and Family

March 16, 2014

I was about 7 years old when my family moved to 51 Wolcott Rd.It was a difficult adjustment that was made easier by moving across the street from the Milbury family. My family had 3 kids, theirs 11 but they had great parents that brought them up to be a wonderful family. I was a tomboy and hung out with Frank and Robert playing games in the middle of Wolcott Rd baseball etc.I later befriended Maryellen and Patty. Frank and Robert would stop by my house to talk with my dad a Brookline Police Officer. My parents always commented on how polite the Milbury children were. I went to Brookline High with Frank, Maryellen, Robert, and Patty, and will always remember those years with the Milburys as some of the best in my life. I last saw Frank last summer at the golf course with my Fiance Billy Waldo jr. Frank said "lets do lunch together". We never did and I will always regret it. May God be with you and your family. Sincerely Elizabeth Jones-Sinclair

I never met Frank personally, but boy what a impact he had on my 2013 summer! During time on the driving range his sibling glowed with aberration when I was told about brother Frank, the man who did what he loved. And the joy Frank showed by following his heart it gave his sibling great inspiration in life! What a gift it was to hear about brother Frank. He followed his heart in work and in family. Doing what he loved! It helped me spend more time to listen to my heart in in solitude and quietude to be in harmony with nature and to spend more time discovering what I was put on earth for. Thank you Frank for being you and the people in your life you impact. Your a "Whole in one"! God blessed us all! Your a reminder to do what you love and everything else will fall in place.
