AMRAM RASIEL

1930 - 2014

Rasiel, Amram Of Marblehead, beloved husband of Rosa (Rosenbloom) Rasiel, died, aged 84, on June 13, 2014. Born in Tel Aviv, son of the late Zvi and Nescia (Horwitz) Rasiel, he came to the U.S. in 1954, after completing B.S. and M.S. degrees at The Technion Israel Institute of Technology. He earned a second M.S. and a PhD. at Yale in 1957 and was an assistant professor at Brown for two years. Subsequently, he became active in venture capital, mostly in technology here and in Israel. He had many interests, but above all, he was devoted to his family. Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, David (Deborah) and Ethan (Emma). He was the adoring grandfather of Lee, Annie, Jack, Jessica and Talia, loving brother-in-law of Yaffa Raziel and Naomi Rosenberg. He was the cherished uncle of Lisa Rosenberg, Michael Rosenberg, Asaf (Dahlia) Rasiel, and the late Nimrod (Helen) Raziel, and great-uncle of fourteen here and in Israel. He was the brother of the late Ovadia and Achia Raziel. The family wishes to thank all the kind and attentive staff at The Atrium in Danvers, and his skilled and loving PHC caregivers, especially Heather, Andres, and Scott. Services at the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., SALEM, on Monday at 1:30 PM with burial following at Temple Sinai of Marblehead Cemetery, Danvers. Memorial observance at the family home following interment, and continuing on Tuesday and Wednesday, 4 to 8 PM, evening minyan at 7:00.
