Hey Stew, Walter and I were just recounting the days of hearing your voice over the radio. Miss you friend.

Stewart was my boss for 5 years at Marathon in the early 80's. I still describe it as the best job I ever had. I felt appreciated and cared for and learned everything there is to know about how to get from anywhere to anywhere else in Boston/Cambridge. I only hope that Stewart knew how many lives he touched. Rest in peace. Jim Beierschmitt

I was shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of Stuart in July. I met him through my brother who worked for Marathon Messenger Service. At that time, I desperately needed a flexible way to make a living. He was kindhearted and gave me a job; knowing I was inexperienced. I will always remember him warmly and feel lucky I had the pleasure of knowing him. What an amazing person and what a remarkable life!

As I am not able to attend Stewart ' s memorial service today I have spent my evening in Manhattan on a Citi bike in tribute. I worked for Marathon Messenger s in 1980 and 1981. Without my relationship with Stewart and MM I would not have had the fearlessness to be rolling through such mayhem then or now. He was fun and encouraging in many ways and to many eccentric Boston cyclists. Love and good wishes.
