I also remember Peter. I was from East Cambridge. My sister lived on Jefferson St. My whole family was friends with them and he had a wonderful family.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to my aunt Laura and my cousins for your loss uncle Peter was a great man and will sourly be missed.As I think back of our time as kids I learned a lesson of life that I have taken with me through the years from uncle Peter other then whats a good bait for fishing or were the best fishing spots are.He taught me about manual labor and to be a hard negotiator and don't settle for less and for that I thank you uncle Peter.

Dear Laura and family,
Words cannot express the sorrow I feel about Uncle Butch's passing. He and I had a fun relationship. I was his first secretary at Vellucci Insurance and he spent everyday teasing me and making me laugh and sometimes making me cry too. LOL. He jokingly called me the Rice-A-Roni kid from when I was about 10 until the last time I saw him. He will be missed but I know he's in great company and is at peace.

My condolences to the Velluci Family. I interacted with Peter for several years in the late 1980's. I always found him as a State Representative to be accessible and genuinely concerned for the welfare of his community. The Sunday afternoon "no cars on part of Memorial Drive" was his idea, but he humbly shared the credit for that idea with others. He was the best, and will be sorely missed.

My condolences to the Vellucci family for the loss of Peter. While I was President of the East Cambridge Little League, Peter and his father Al were always very supportive of the kids and the league. I appreciate his generosity and I shall mourn his loss. RIP
