Met Richard at the Howe High School and Billerica Memorial High School Alumni Reunion for his wife Joann at the Billerica Elks on June 2006. He was wearing the Red Sox World Series ring and let me try it on! He was very gracious! One of my favorite memories!

Dick became a friend when we were together at UMASS in 1956. I remember how proud he was when he got the job with the Red Sox. He was a bright light and will be missed. Deacon Richard Radford

Dick was a distant cousin but always very kind and accommodating in getting me game tickets. I always brought his Dad Louie along; Louie was a client of my Dad`s in Milford. Louie was hard-of-hearing, so when we got to the game he could hear nothing; so I had to do a verbal play-by-play for him during most of the game so he could know what was going on...true story!!! May Dick RIP!!!

I was so sorry to have heard about Dick's passing.
I've known Bresh since I played baseball for the High School and American Legion teams in Milford where he reported for the Milford Daily News in the late 1950's and early 1960's. I also followed him to Umass where we remained close friends through the Baseball Team as well as Fraternity Brothers at Kappa Sigma. He was one of the most respected individuals that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. My sympathies go out to Joanne and all family members for the loss of a wonderful human being.

I first had the privilege of meeting ‘Bresh' in April, 1978 when the Red Sox visited the Brewers at County Stadium. I was a new hire but ‘Bresh' welcomed me to the fraternity with open arms and in his distinctive Boston accent. His professionalism, reliability and historical knowledge of the Red Sox made him a treasure to his organization, just like New York's Bob Fishel, Baltimore's Bob Brown, Minnesota's Tom Mee, Milwaukee's Tom Skibosh and Philadelphia's Larry Shenk. Like those of his era, “Bresh' was cognizant and respectful of the job of the media as well as his own responsibility to the Red Sox. His passion and love for the game was never questioned because he was genuinely valued by all. ‘Bresh' will certainly be missed and cherished by those who had the honor of knowing him.

He was the ultimate gentleman always. Rest In Peace Bres...........
