Rachel and I were in the same Bat Mitzvah class. We hadn“t met before. She became a friend. She was a witty and bright classmate. I never knew she suffered from ALS. Her death caught me by surprise!! All of us were stunned and upset.
I remember her well. Her memory is a blessing .

As a classmate in the adult Bat Mitzvah class, I always looked forward to seeing her. We became good friends. I can't believe almost 5 years have passed. I will think of her today especially. I'm sending condolences and love to all of you. Myrna

Dear Jim and family: Rachel's loving spirit was a gift I shared in workshops for several years before moving away. Two years ago Rachel and I saw each other again while she was writing about ALS in her life. Again I was inspired by her indomitable and loving spirit. I want to think of her as always with you. And her beautiful writing is her gift of legacy. Lee Dunnew
