JOHN J. DONOVAN III

Donovan, John J. III Passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 surrounded by family at his home on Bothways Farm in Essex, Massachusetts. John, age 43, died after fighting a hard battle against adrenal cancer. He is survived by his wife, Megan C. Donovan, daughter, Skylar E. Donovan, son, Jax C. Donovan, sisters, Maureen K. McLaughlin, Carolyn S. Donovan, Rebecca M. Brown, brother, James H. Donovan, father, John J. Donovan, and mother, E. Marilyn Donovan. John was a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Business School, owner of the Manchester Athletic Club and a philanthropist. His passions included farming, teaching, and flying. He lived a life forged with exploration, learning and compassion in everything he did. John touched thousands of people's lives over the years and most treasured the deepest of love he had for his wife Megan, daughter Skylar and son Jax. A Memorial Service celebrating John's life will be held on May 30, 2015 beginning at 2:00PM at the Manchester Athletic Club, 8 Atwater Ave., Manchester, Massachusetts. Family and friends of all ages are invited to join in this celebration. John and his wife Megan have established a charitable gift fund for the benefit of children's charities.
