My deepest sympathy to you, Mary, and the kids. I have the fondest memories of him during my service in the Navy Reserves and the Navy League. May he rest in peace.

My brother, Lt(jg) Donald Brewer flew with "Gus" in Korea. Admiral Kinnear wrote his posthumous Navy Cross citation. He personally came to our home after the war to talk about Donald, which none of us have ever forgotten. I had the honor of a few phone conversations in recent years and he sent me a copy of his ORAL HISTORY when he finished it. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
