I'm just discovering this now as I work on my Christmas card list for 2017. Clif was my Uncle Henry's nephew. My parents traveled from California to Massachusetts every year to see their mothers and my dad's sister, Helen. Clif would come to visit us at my Aunt Helen and Uncle Henry's house in Haverhill (Whitter's Birthplace) and later in West Newbury when we were visiting in the summer. More recently, my being in California, he was a great help to me during my Aunt's illness and in resolving her estate (2008). Such a wonderful man. He always had a story to tell me of his acquaintances or his travels. I only wish I could have spent more time with him. He spoke of his daughters affectionately. My condolences to all of his family.

Dear Janet, Pam, Beth and Muff,
Jimmy and I send our sincere condolences to each of you and your families. Mr. Eaton lived an extraordinary life and loved all that he was involved in. He so cherished his relationships with each of you and your children later in life and that is truly a blessing. A few years ago I spent a night with Muff at Mr. Eaton's home in Falmouth and as I am an early riser, I was sitting in the living room looking at the many books Mr. Eaton had. He woke up early as well and sat with me sharing little snipits of information about the books I was looking at. I was very intrigued with how much knowledge he had about each. At the end of our interaction, he said, 'Robin, thank you so much for your patience in allowing me to share all my vignettes with you'. He was truly sincere and it really touched my heart. Love to you all. Robin & Jimmy
