Obituary Condolences

PALMAS, Doris L. (Lawrence) Of Watertown, April 6, 2018. She was an avid reader and a die-hard Patriots and Red Sox fan. She grew up in West Texas on her family's ranch where she attended school with her famous neighbor Roy Orbison. After high school, Doris attended nursing school. She then met and dated an Air Force man, Paul Lawrence Sr. They married and moved to Newton (his hometown) to start a family together. They had 5 children. Doris loved cooking and socializing with her new family and friends. She was a great cook and was famous for her southern fried chicken and lemon meringue pies. Doris later met and married Paul Palmas who owned and operated Palmas the Glassman Shop in Newton. She loved dancing with Paul at the Post 440 and Sons of Italy functions. She is survived by her 5 children: Paula Lawrence, Linda, Barbara, Joanne and Paul Jr, and a stepson Carlton Palmas, as well as Paul's brother Walter and sister Faith Jennings. Daughter of the late Hollis and Ellen Holden. Visiting hours in the Magni FH, 365 Watertown St., Rt. 16, NEWTON, Wednesday, April 11 from 3-8pm. Burial private. Andrew J.
