Truly sorry to hear that our beloved Paul has passed; so glad to have been at Maudsley on July 15 to hear Paul play the piano and sing his favorite songs with Peter, Les and Fred. He was dynamic and so gracious to his audience. What a marvelous piano player and loved his choice of songs especially when he sang with such excitement and that laugh. Gosh it has been over 35+ years that we all have the pleasure to hear him in either New Hampshire or Massachusetts. He and Peter obliged our Mom by singing at her retirement home for three years and then drove up in 2013 to attend her memorial service. He was the kindest and most delightful man and our family will miss seeing him. God bless him and Caroline and family for sharing him with us. We love you, Paul

Paul was always encouraging to me as a Jazz vocalist and I will treasure the times I got to perform with him. What a gentleman and stellar human being. He has left us with his gift of music and has gone Home to sing and play with the Angels. May his soul be blessed.

Dear Broadnax family,

Please accept my sincere condolences. I am deeply saddened by Paul's passing. I found him to be always delightfully upbeat and a true gentleman. His talents at the piano and as a vocalist were superb. He was truly gifted and I always enjoyed his performances.

Sincerely,

Malcolm

Mr. Broadnax,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S: Army Air Forces during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

August 21, 2018

As a fellow piano player I found myself going "Oh no, now I have to play perfectly" if I saw him come into the gig. But that was my insecurity, as he always came up after and said "man, you played great!". A kinder, gentler more gracious man has not walked the earth...we all will miss you Paul...God speed...
