John Edward "Papa" LeBeau Sr.

LeBEAU John Edward, Dr. “Papa”, 76, passed October 22, 2013 at the Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. Born in Boston, MA, on May 20, 1937 he had been a resident of Plainfield NJ for 30 years, formerly of Brooklyn, NY. Mr. LeBeau was a retired Gunnery Sergeant 23 year Veteran of the US Marine Corps, serving two tours in the Vietnam War with two Purple Hearts. He was employed by the US Postal Service in Jersey City, NJ for 25 years before retiring. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Grace LeBeau, son John E. LeBeau Jr. and brothers Ralph LeBeau, Vernon LeBeau, and Raymont Lebeau, he is survived by his wife of 55 years Claudetta (Small) of Brooklyn, NY, son Curtis (April), Fall River, MA, daughter Michelle, Brooklyn, NY, 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, brother Lawrence LeBeau of Milton, MA, sisters Rita Lopes of Jamaica Plain, MA and Jacqui LeBeau of Framingham, MA and Joan (Bill) Hayes, Worcester, MA, special friend Jacqueline Casey and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 A.M. at the Judkins Colonial Home, 428 West 4th Street, PLAINFIELD, NJ. Visitation will be held 7:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. Monday at the Funeral Home.
