Phyllis Ducharme Rose

ROSE Phyllis Ann Ducharme Rose Charlestown, NH - With her husband, son Mark and his wife Susan at her bedside. Phyllis Ann Ducharme Rose, 77, of Charlestown, NH, passed away quietly on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12, 2013. Her family had sat bedside vigil throughout her last days, as she was at peace hearing their voices and feeling their presence. The youngest of ten children of Peter J. Ducharme, Sr., and Alice (Laware) Ducharme Born April 28, 1936, Phyllis grew up in West Lebanon, and attended Seminary Hill High School. Phyllis was well known for her quick wit and sense of humor, always bringing smiles to others. She enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, with her uncanny ability to look into an empty cupboard and whip up an entire tasty feast. Phyllis had a passion for Bingo. She enjoyed crocheting, her beloved Red Sox, and her family. One of her last requests was for a special meal - steamed clams, which she devoured with the gusto as only Phyllis could. Phyllis was married to and survived by Martin William Rose, Sr. Her family was raised in Quincy, MA. Later in life, Phyllis and her husband moved for a short time to Ormond Beach, Florida. Because she missed being close to her family, in her retirement years Phyllis and her husband returned to the Upper Valley, residing in Charlestown, NH. She is survived by her children, Lisa DuPont of West Lebanon, Deanna (Dupont) Lyons of Carver, MA, Mark and Susan (Tabor) Rose of West Lebanon, Tammy (Rose) and Robert Raymond of Quincy, MA, Stephen and Babette (Nesto) Rose of West Lebanon, Kelly (Rose) and Don Stirling of Weymouth, MA, 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, five stepchildren, and a brother, Burton Ducharme, Her youngest child, Martin William (Buzzy) Rose predeceased her in 2004.
