Reckoning with the force that was Virginia Achtmeyer Adams was an adventure in life. She had a great strength about her and put her very soul into everything she did. She was not always easy to love: somewhat like trying to hug a comet. She lives on in the people like me and her Godchild, my sister because she cared and she lit a spark in each of us.

Being active in the Civil Air Patrol is and was an important and honorable thing to do. Being a pilot in the CAP was a gutsy thing to do. Love them women pilots! Wish I'd gotten to know her.
Condolences, and I celebrate her life with you.

Bill and Family, Your Mother was a marvelous person who instilled a love of the arts and zest for life in all the people she touched. She was also the best Godmother I have ever met. My condolences for our loss.

Dear family of Virgina Adams, I had the honor of living in Chestnut Hill for 3 mos during my college summer break back in the early 1980's. We loved to sit by her rock pool and cool down on a hot summer's night. She loved to show me her card catalogue in the spare bedroom or her phenominal shoe collection. A great lady who I adore.
